Am I being blocked?

I'm new to all of this and am hesitant/nervous; when I past in the friend ID I get no response; am I being blocked?
I have some other issues (security) that I'm a bit suspicious of anyway, so I am...unnerved.

You say you get "no response". What do you mean? Do you get sent to a blank page?

What browser are you using, and do you have javascript enabled?

I think I get an error message regarding the friend ID; nothing comes up at all for this particular page; other peoples pages do; I am copying and pasting the friend ID's, not the URL's'.  Thsi woorks for all but the one I'm referring to.

I must have been doing something wrong when copying and pasting the id; I did it again and it worked.
Now; Obviously stupid question but am I really anonymous if I look at top friends, etc?

The website blocks any code, images and other embedded objects from loading, so there is no real way of getting tracked while viewing the profiles using HITS.

Another basic question, then; I should 'log in' under options in HITS, right?
Then I will be able to see friends pages even if they are private?
Then, regarding possible stalker; I think someone is using a couple of different fake profiles to look at mine; they are private.
Can I ask for some help with this?

If you do set your login information, you will be able to see the profiles you have added that are private.

I can't really help you with your stalker problem.
