it says private profiles are public

hey, i looked up a friend of a friend's profile using the old myspace script and i was somehow able to view their profile as public but when i go to www.myspace.com/their user ID it said that it was private...is this because they recently changed it from public to private but i am able to still view it as public through your myspace script? Also, I tried viewing other people's profiles i knew were private through your myspace script and it said it was a public profile even though it didnt show any new info i couldnt see before such as comments, pics, etc.

I might need to fix the code that displays that they are private. Would you mind sending me a message with the ID you tried that came up as public?

I had this issue today too. Im pretty sure its private, but comes up as public. I cant see anything though-meaning it must still be private.....?

The only way you can make sure that it's private is to actually access the myspace page (not using my scripts).

Remember that setting your login info is like logging into myspace. If you are logged in and you can see everything on the profile, then that profile will be marked "public" regardless of whether it's private when you are logged out.
